Matic Network upgraded its brand and changed its project name to Polygon. According to the team, Matic's intent in upgrading to Polygon was to extend the platform vision and transform it into a protocol and framework for building and connecting Ethereum's compatible blockchain network. Polygon is a powerful and easy to use framework.

Polygon has partnered with Metaverse developer Decentral Games to promote play-to-earn. In this partnership, Polygon will invest and pledge DG tokens on Decentral Games, and Decentral Games will join Polygon's Games and NFT division's Polygon Studios ecosystem. Integrating Polygon networks and enabling new scalability, users can speed up in-game transactions at a lower cost.
